While it’s mentioned numerous times throughout the actual episode, it’s worth reiterating that the piece we read in today’s episode and the writer himself are not endorsed by the hosts here at X Reader. As with everyone affected, we find the advent of the COVID 19 outbreak a frustrating and scary situation and we strongly believe it was possible it could’ve been handled better or entirely prevented. However, painting the entire country of China as disease infested, murderous, sexual deviants is both unhelpful and revealing of the author’s latent racism. A critique of a government or official should never come down to mocking the race from which they descend.

We will not be linking to any of their accounts, but I hope you enjoy today’s episode as despite the offensive and immature nature of the work, our podcast turned out just dandy.
